Prof. Dr. Rainer Alt holds the professorship for Application Systems at the Information Systems Institute of Leipzig University. He conducts research on and teaches business application systems, customer relationship management, supply chain management and methods for the management of inter-company processes.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Sackmann holds the professorship for business information management at the Information Systems Institute of the Martin Luther University of Halle‑Wittenberg. He conducts research on and teaches automation of business processes, automation of compliance and process-oriented risk management.
