German Diversity Day is an annual, nationwide day of action organized by Charta der Vielfalt e.V. and was launched in 2012. It promotes greater diversity, inclusion, and appreciation in the workplace. For this year’s event, we’d like to highlight an initiative we’ve been participating in since this year: Aktion Mensch.
For over 60 years, Aktion Mensch has been supporting social projects through its lottery ticket sales. It enables people with disabilities to participate more fully in society and works to break down prejudices through educational programs. As an IT company, we see it as our responsibility to actively help shape this social change. Our corporate philosophy is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the United Nations, and for us, that also includes consistently reducing obstacles and barriers in our day-to-day work.
Our partnership with Aktion Mensch is part of these efforts. All of our Xperts receive a raffle ticket on their birthday. This not only gives them a chance to win a prize. With every ticket purchased, we support Aktion Mensch and make a small contribution toward greater inclusion in everyday life.
For us, German Diversity Day is a welcome opportunity to highlight this commitment, and at the same time a reminder to view inclusion not as a one-time project, but as an ongoing process.
