Whether it was hiking boots or bowling shoes—our Xperts were doubly active in August. Two special team events were on the agenda within just a few days: First, we took part in the Leipzig Trade and Service Providers’ Cup and showed off our skills on the bowling lane. Just a few days later, it was time for our Xperts to head out into nature for the Leipzig Company Hiking Day.
We entered the Bowling Cup with a total of three teams. For several hours, we tried to knock down as many pins as possible and had a lot of fun doing it. One of our teams did so well that it took 3rd place. The others finished close behind in 4th and 5th place. Overall, the evening was marked by a relaxed atmosphere. This ensured that, in addition to the excitement, camaraderie and enjoyment were always the focus.

This sense of camaraderie was also evident at the company hiking day. The event kicked off in the early evening at the Scheibenholz Racetrack. Some of our team set out on foot from the office, while others joined us directly at the venue. After picking up our materials and having a quick drink in the beer garden, we hit the trail at 5:00 p.m. together with many other participants.
The 8.2-kilometer route led from Clara Zetkin Park through the Elster Floodplain to the north shore of Lake Cospuden. Along the way, we enjoyed a refreshment station and good conversation. After about 1 hour and 35 minutes, including a short break, we reached the finish line at the Hacienda Cospuden in high spirits. There we received medals, took a team photo, and enjoyed snacks and drinks—the perfect way to wrap things up before heading back home via public transportation.
Two very different activities, but with the same result: lots of fun, shared experiences, and a strong sense of camaraderie. Whether bowling or hiking, we were able to see once again that we’re a strong team—not just in our day-to-day work, but beyond it as well.
