We have been an integral part of the Industry Day for Information Technology (IT²) in Halle for several years now and took part for the 4th time in a row on May 14.
IT² is an established event that has been held twice a year in Halle since 2002, in May and November. This day serves as an important platform for promoting contacts between regional IT companies, students and employees of the Institutes of Computer Science and Information Systems at Martin Luther University.
The aim of the event is to present innovative solutions in the field of information technology and to promote dialog between science and industry. Current research results and industry solutions are presented through specialist lectures and discussions in order to facilitate potential collaborations. With well over 100 participants, IT² is an important event for those interested in technical fields. The initiative is jointly supported by the University Center for Information Technology, the Halle-Dessau Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the IT Cluster of Central Germany.
IT² in Halle is not only an opportunity to find out about the latest developments and trends in information technology, but also to make valuable contacts and strengthen cooperation between companies and research institutions.
An inspiring opening speech was followed by four informative presentations from various IT companies. After the presentations, we enjoyed a relaxed get-together where we had the opportunity to talk to students and representatives of the Institutes of Computer Science and Business Informatics over coffee and cake. We were particularly pleased with the great interest shown by students in the supervision of Bachelor theses.
We were impressed by the variety of degree courses represented, including computer science, media informatics, bioinformatics and business informatics. Many of the participants were already familiar with our company, which confirmed our position as an attractive employer.
IT² offered us an excellent opportunity to make direct contact with students and present ourselves as a company. We are grateful for the opportunity to have taken part in this interesting event and are already looking forward to the next IT² in November.
