The kickoff of the 2025 summer semester at the University of Leipzig was all about the future of IT—and we were there! At the Career Service Event: „Future Paths in IT: Artificial Intelligence“ On April 1, 2025, we had the opportunity to introduce our company, engage with students, and contribute our expertise to discussions about AI.
With our booth located right in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, we were able to answer numerous questions—ranging from entry-level opportunities such as internships, part-time student jobs, and thesis projects to specific career paths in software development. We found it particularly exciting to engage directly with students who were not only interested in traditional computer science careers but also had questions about the role of AI in software development.
In addition to many one-on-one conversations at our booth, we also took the stage. During the panel discussion „How is AI changing the job market for computer scientists?“ Our AI expert, Danny Hucke, shared valuable insights from the field and discussed with the other participants which skills will be in high demand in the future and how AI is transforming job roles.
In addition to the panel discussions and pitches, the event offered a perfect opportunity to connect with up-and-coming talent and show them what exciting opportunities await them at IT Sonix. Our conclusion: A successful event featuring valuable discussions, new connections, and plenty of inspiration for the future of IT!
We look forward to continuing our dialogue with the students—and perhaps seeing some of them join our team again.
