It’s that time of year again: Our annual Move IT sports competition is entering its decisive phase. And just like every year, it not only gets us moving but also sends a strong message about sustainable mobility. Together, we surpassed the impressive milestone of 64,637 non-motorized kilometers this week—a fantastic result we owe to 49 dedicated participants. Whether on foot, by bike, in the water, or on wheels—the activities were diverse and the motivation was palpably high.
But we haven't reached our goal yet: Every additional kilometer counts. For every 1,000 kilometers we collect together, we’ll plant a tree—which is an extra incentive to stay active even in the final days and make as many car-free trips as possible. The Move IT Challenge motivates us in two ways: for our own health and for climate protection.
A special highlight was our Move IT barbecue yesterday—an evening we spent together celebrating our successes so far. There was a lively atmosphere on our patio, and the team spirit was clearly palpable. In a relaxed setting, we shared stories about our athletic experiences, laughed a lot, and recharged our batteries for the final stretch.
The barbecue buffet also left nothing to be desired: The vegan and vegetarian options, in particular, were very well received and contributed to the event’s overall success.
Move IT is much more than just a sports competition. It’s an opportunity to raise our health awareness, actively reduce CO₂ emissions, and grow closer as a team at the same time. We’re already looking forward to the next round next year. One thing is certain: Every kilometer we cover is a win—for ourselves, for our team, and for the environment.
