It’s that time of year again: Our annual Move IT sports competition is entering its final phase, keeping us active and environmentally conscious. Last week, we surpassed the impressive 77,777non-motorised kilometre mark – all thanks to the dedication of 60 participants. Whether it was running, cycling, swimming, hiking, or rollerblading, everyone joined in with enthusiasm. But the competition isn’t over yet: every additional kilometre still counts, as we plant one tree for every 1,000 kilometres achieved. This challenge continues to motivate us to leave our cars at home and choose to walk or cycle instead.

Our Move IT barbecue last week was the perfect occasion to celebrate our athletic achievements. Despite the cloudy skies, the atmosphere remained upbeat – our team spirit prevailed, and we didn't let anything dampen our joy. On the terrace, we celebrated our successes so far and recharged for the final sprint. Casual conversations about the various sporting challenges and experiences boosted our determination to keep collecting kilometres in the remaining days. The abundant barbecue buffet, which earned high praise for its vegan and vegetarian options, was a real hit and capped off the day perfectly.

Move IT is more than just a competition – it’s a chance to improve our health, reduce CO₂ emissions, and strengthen our team bonds. We’re already looking forward to next year’s challenge. One thing is for sure: every kilometre we cover benefits not only ourselves but also the environment – and that makes our sense of community even stronger.
