IT Sonix signs memorandum of understanding on the use of artificial intelligence.

The AI-Hub Saxony was launched on 02/04/2019. The official signing of the memorandum of understanding on the use of artificial intelligence took place in the Logistics Living Lab Leipzig. We at IT Sonix are proud to have been signatories to the memorandum of understanding along with 16 other representatives of science and industry.

The objective of the AI-Hub Saxony is “to interlink research, teaching and, in particular, the transfer of innovations in order to actively contribute to increasing value creation in the Free State of Saxony”.

In our view, artificial intelligence has long since outgrown pure research and is actively used in many areas of industry. This is evident not only from the increasingly ubiquitous assistance systems (such as chatbots, Alexa and Siri) but also from the fields of autonomous driving, picture/object recognition and text analysis. As a result of close cooperation with our customers and projects such as Calysto, we are convinced that the intention behind the AI-Hub is precisely the right one to improve the economy as well as everyday life in Saxony.

The supporters of the AI-Hub Saxony are:

LEIPZIG UNIVERSITY, Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL), University of Applied Sciences Dresden, Saxon IT Services (Staatsbetrieb Sächsische Informatik Dienste – SID), the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economics, the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ, Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Centre Chemnitz, Institut für Angewandte Informatik e.V., AOK PLUS Saxonly/Thuringia, ACOD GmbH, Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, Avantgarde Labs, SpinLab – The HHL Accelerator, Smart Infrastructure Hub, SALT Solutions AG, IT Sonix Custom Development GmbH.
