A week ago, we started the second edition of our course "Agile Development of Application Systems". The lecture will once again take place at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Thanks to the Unibund Halle-Jena-Leipzig, it can also be attended and credited by students from the University of Leipzig and the University of Jena.
Repeating a success is known to be a special challenge. So how did our Xperts approach this task?
Our team of lecturers once again consists of our academic advisor Dr Danny Hucke and Scrum Master Marcus Nerger. After their successful premiere, the two of them first conducted a retrospective and collected feedback. What had already become apparent during the lecture was then confirmed: The two have grown well into their role and the students were positively impressed by their performance. The structure of the course is again set out with four lecture units and four block seminars. While the lectures are held remotely, the practical part takes place in our offices, as it did last year. Our Xperts have come up with something very special for the on-site dates, but we don't want to reveal the details just yet. But this much can be revealed: One won't be able to avoid AI this semester either.
The aim of the event is to prepare students for working with Scrum. We have the experience and the know-how and would like to pass on our expertise. The module offers an idea mixture of theory and practice. From common business cases to exciting practical reports - in the lectures, our Xperts instruct seminar participants in the use of the agile toolkit. The students then slip into the various Scrum roles themselves and try out what they have learnt in their own software project.
We are proud to be able to continue our successful collaboration with Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and look forward to an exciting exchange with the students.
