IT Sonix - Hackathon 2023

Our first IT Sonix Hackathon took place on 1 June. The event was aimed at students, fresh alumni and trainees.
Under the motto "Keep us movin'", the participants demonstrated their skills and inventiveness. Everyone who made it to the end of the hackathon received prize money of EUR 200 and an individual certificate. This involved the creation of a tool to report kilometres for our internal sports competition "move IT". Since 2020, we have been planting one tree for every 1,000 kilometres covered in cooperation with PLANT-MY-TREE®.
As an IT company based in Leipzig, it is important to us to create attractive prospects for young people in the region. For years, we have maintained close relationships with the surrounding universities and colleges and are committed to supporting students. Our first IT Sonix Hackathon is just one element of many that helps to keep Leipzig an attractive IT location.

The Timeline
Thursday (01.06.)
| 15:00 | Here we go! |
| 16:00 | The hackathon project is up and running. |
| 19:00 | We eat something together at our expense. |
| 20:00 | The official part of the first day is over. |
| 22:30 | Our doors close. |
Friday (02.06.)
| 08:00 | Our rooms are available for you again. |
| 10:30 | The official part continues! So we need you back on site at this time at the latest. |
| 12:00 | We will provide you with food. |
| 15:00 | Deadline! The hackathon project must be ready. Each team briefly (max. 10min) shows what has been achieved. |
| 16:30 | The best team will be announced. |
| 18:00 | It's off to a well-deserved weekend. |
