Master module at MLU: half-time

Reading time approx. 1 minute
11.05.2023

On 20 April, our lecture "Agile Development of Application Systems" started successfully at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. With today's lecture, we have reached the halfway point and are already looking forward to the approaching practical part.

In the first two remote lectures, our Xperts were able to introduce the students to the theoretical basics of the agile way of work in software development with a focus on Scrum. The third lecture dealt with agile project management and offered the students of business informatics useful specialist knowledge. To lighten things up a bit, our Xperts repeatedly incorporated feedback from the students and used interactive tools such as Mentimeter.

The final lecture will focus on practical work in order to prepare the students for the practical part of the module. Three Xperts from different Scrum roles will share their experiences with the students and also give a few tips for the upcoming project work. Above all, access to the expertise of our Agile Coaches & Consultants team, which was also significantly involved in developing the content, offers tangible added value.

The practical days are the core element of the course. These are held at the University of Leipzig and the University of Halle as well as on our premises. The students take on different roles in the Scrum framework and work independently on a use case developed by our Xperts (spoiler: ChatGPT is of course going to be involved).

We have put a lot of work into the lecture and are proud of the results so far. For 2024, the master module has now also been applied for as an official module of the Business Informatics Master's at the University of Leipzig and will thus take place next year as a fully inter-university event.
